STUDIO KALARI ONLINE on Facebook
Online kalarippayattu classes are a compromise between the traditional teaching system and the possibilities of modern technology. Although they started to function online mainly due to the pandemy and lockdowns, as there are still few kalarippayattu schools in the world, they have become the only way for many people to experience training in this martial art.
From March 2020 to June 2022, I conducted more than 300 trainings in the form of live streaming in a Facebook group. I also recorded 20 tutorials explaining the different exercises and sequences. Most of the classes are adapted to a small home space, but there are also some done in a larger room. All recordings can still be used.

WHAT ARE ELEMENTS OF ONLINE KALARI CLASSES?
Salutations
Through various salutations we express respect to masters, other students, opponents, weapons and space in which we practise. They remind us the time and space of practice is special.
Exercises
Conditioning and stretching exercises of full body that develop strength, balance, body awareness, focus and coordination. From simple to more complex, they are adjusted to possibilities of students.
Animal postures
The postures carry energetic essence of animals ready to enter into confrontation. They develop stamina and patience.
Sequences
of movements
Sequences include defensive and offensive movements. They develop body memory and coordination, as well as enable controlled and focused flow of energy.

WHAT OUR STUDENTS SAY
There is a great variety of exercises and the regular repetition makes it easier to learn, as well as the precise and complete explanations of our instructor Justyna. I also love that we can do the exercises at our own rhythm, within our own limits. The trainings are as challenging as we want them to be, and that's great!

WHO IS THE TRAINING LEADER?
My name is Justyna Rodzińska-Nair:
I have been learning the Southern Style of kalarippayattu since 2004 with different masters, both in India and in Poland. Since 2008 I follow Sankar Lal Sivasankaran Nair.
I lead trainings and workshops, as well as manage organisation of events and communication of Studio Kalari. I write a blog on kalari and in 2022 I published the first Polish book on kalari, available also as English e-book.
In kalari practice, I enjoy intense workout combined with commitment, intention and flow of energy, and such trainings I propose to my online (and in-person) students.
In private life, I’m wife of Sankar and mom of 3.

FEE

ATTENTION

- There is a one-time fee to access the group and it is unlimited (as long as Facebook is running).
- Once payment has been made, the fee cannot be refunded or access transferred to another person.
