Summer School of Studio Kalari

16th Summer School of Studio Kalari
July 4–12, 2026
Strużyny, Poland

We invite you to join our annual Summer School of Studio Kalari. Kalari trainings take place in the morning and in the evening, while in between we take rest, cook and enjoy beautiful landscapes of the Lubuskie region.

These few-day camps during which we can focus on the practice is the time when you don’t need to rush to the training after work or school, get stuck in a traffic jam or figure out dozens of urgent life issues. Instead, you can stop for a while, limit stimulation, listen to your body and energy, and to deepen and develop your kalari skills.

The School is open for beginners and advanced students.

Programme of trainings

Programme of kalari trainings during the School will be adjusted to skills and condition of participants.

Beginners will learn basics, while advanced students will deepen and develop their current skills.
As always, classes will feature:

  • many conditioning and stretching exercises
  • sequences of movements
  • empty hand and weapon combat (for advanced students)
  • spinning a bamboo stick.

The School is both a great introduction in the kalarippayattu system, as well as a chance to repeat and consolidate already known elements of practice.

The School is open to beginners and advanced students.

Some feedback from participants of previous editions of the School:

Wonderful atmosphere and people. The workshop exceeded my expectations.

I’m very happy about the trainings. Their intensity and variability was increasing day by day.

Excellent and kind teachers. I haven’t pushed my body this hard in a long time and it was good to know I can do so much!

I really enjoy this combination of effort, work on myself in a group, relaxation and good company. And food is delicious!

Location and transportation

summer school studio kalari

Strużyny is a little village next to Bledzew in the Lubusz province, Poland, 150 km east from Berlin. It is hidden among fields, woods and lakes, in silence and calm, where vast space lets you take a break from the hectic city pace and information noise.

The closest, and our favourite, lake is 4km far from home. You can walk there or go by car.

studio kalari summer schoolThere are several 2–5-bedrooms in the house in which around 20 people can stay, and common bathrooms.

The closest airports are in Berlin, as well as Goleniów/Szczecin, Poznań and Wrocław. Then you should take a bus or train to Skwierzyna (close to Gorzów Wielkopolski), from where we can pick you up by car. We will also help participants to contact each other so that you can travel together.
If you need any advice on how to get there, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Meals
